Ryan leaves behind his beloved wife, Kristy, and their four-year-old daughter, Rose, who are now facing the unimaginable pain of moving forward without a devoted husband and loving father . He also leaves behind his parents, Doug and Jodi McCarthy, his siblings — Jessica (Kurt) Whitley, Nick (Liz) McCarthy, and Morgan (Jake) DeBacker — and his nieces and nephews: Maggie, Jack, Karsyn, Kade, Kam, and Kruz .

Ryan was preceded in death by his grandparents, Carl and Charlotte McCarthy and Jim and Mary Hayward . His family was the center of his world, and his love for them was evident in every aspect of his life.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, August 6, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Cederberg-Brietzke Funeral Home in Saginaw . A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 7, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church in Frankenmuth, with burial to follow at St. Lorenz Cemetery .
